Christmas tree in Pier 39.

My car

The bigger the better.

I specifically wanted this car - Lincoln Aviator, suitable for 7 persons but I was driving alone. It was very nice car after I got used to it. Lots of space and quite powerful.

In San Francisco

Macy’s in Christmas decoration.

Somehow it seems that the americans always know how to celebrate the big holidays such as Christmas. At least the decorations are very nice.

Stairs to the sky?

Stairs, which lead to the lounge.

The lounge itself was absolutely fantastic, very luxurious and offered full breakfast and massage. Also hair stylists were available to style you a new hair style. I had a wonderful traditional british breakfast.

A little bit of luxury

Red carpet in front of the Upper Class check-in.

Hotel room

Very large hotel room in London, which is quite unusual in here.

This time I found myself in the Metropolitan hotel, which is quite famous among the film stars. Unfortunately, I didn’t meet anyone famous. Very nice hotel and I received an upgrade when I checked in.

In Copenhagen

Well, my newest getaway vacation started quite well. Nothing special has happened yet but everything seems to be going well. It looks like there are some new faces working at the SAS/Blue1 in Tampere-Pirkkala airport and they seems to be very nice towards the frequent flyers.

The self-service check-in machine tried to offer me a later flight because my original Copenhagen - London flight is apparently fully booked. I didn’t quite notice if it was also offering some compensation or are they just trying to find people willing to change their travel plans. At least it seems that the flight is fully booked. Do I smell operational upgrade? One can only wish …

I received an operational upgrade to Economy Extra. :)

Surprise in Copenhagen

You know the Welcome Text Messages, which are sent by the operators when you start roaming with them for the first time? I was quite surpised when I received this in Copenhagen airport:

Welcome to Telia. You can call 00 358 800 1 7000 for customer service in Sonera. Enjoy your stay in Sweden!

I certainly hoped I was actually in Denmark and not in Sweden. :)

Here we go again. My next getaway vacation has started.

Sorry about the photo quality … it seems to be that these conditions are not perfect for the camera phone. Well, anyway, I am once again in a airplane, which makes me happy.

After the Christmas

Well, tomorrow at this time I will be in London. My Christmas vacation will be ongoing at that time and I am spending one day in London before continuing to San Francisco. I am really looking forward on that. :)

Just keep watching this space for updates. As usual, I will be blogging on the road and give you updates what is happening during my travel. I can promise at least a new experience from an airline I haven’t tried yet.
