What I didn't mention is that indeed wedding pictures are taken in a separate day from the wedding party, so you will have a registration day, wedding photo shooting day and then an actual party. We had our wedding pictures taken in the same week with registration by the professional wedding photo company (it is very big business in China, just like in the USA). On the previous day from the photo shooting day we visited the store just to pick Fangfang's dresses, it took only two hours. :D The actual photo shooting day then took 10 hours and included five different dresses for her (and corresponding for me) and five different hair and make up styles for her (surprisingly men can survive with one style). And now we are waiting our photos to be ready, they are editing them. Maybe they are trying to make odd laowai (foreigner) to look somehow better. Some of the photos will be posted online when we get them. Thank you very much.
